We got a fabulously warm welcome even after a severe delay on our train meant that we arrived late at night. The hosts Ken & Gill are truly wonderful & and can not do enough to make your stay feel like home away from home. The Pod is heated and cosy. The constant hot water from the pressure shower is a luxury for glamping. The amenities in the Pod are spot on, modern coffee making machine, kettle, fridge, a Bluetooth speaker for your music, a TV, plenty of hanging space...a real tardis! Ken & Gill supply a constant flow of purified water, and replace tea/coffee, in fact whatever is needed is no trouble at all. We opted for breakfast with them. There is a varied menu, and as a vegan, I was very well catered for. The food served was well thought out and delicious. The vegan haggis was the best! We enjoyed the company of our hosts & their animal friends and Ken's storytelling. There is a bothy for shared use with other pod dwellers, which has full cooking facilities, a dining table & lots of games & books. I imagine this would be even more sociable in warmer weather with the fire pit outside. We would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Eriskay was one of the best places we stayed over our 3 weeks in Scotland! Ken and Jill were both inspiring, enthusiastic, and really fun hosts. The pods were immaculate and well stocked. The bed was especially comfortable, plugs were available your devices, a specialized coffee maker at hand, and both good lighting and privacy window shades inside. We had a grill available to us next to our pod and all the kitchen equipment you could use located was available in a common-area Brothy. This inviting Brothy was a really great area for meeting and getting to know other guests as well, which is always one of the more enjoyable aspects of travel. If you don't want to make your AM breakfast here, then don't hesitate to enjoy their home-cooked Scottish breakfast with the most amazing fresh baked goodies made by Jill herself. Ken went over the top in making sure we were satisfied with every little facet of our stay. Excellent location; minutes from Cairngorm hikes, multiple options for in-town supplies, coffee houses, etc.

Small, quiet but really well maintained & located Armadillo Glamping Pods & B&B site in Aviemore. 4 nights in a cosy Armadillo Pod is probably similar to staying in a 2 berth motorhome with small freeview TV, small fridge, small washing sink & worktop with a kettle, neat wet room shower, loo & basin, clothes hanging cupboard & large, spacious under-bed drawers. The 4 pods had use of a separate 'Bothy' with communal table & chairs, worktop washing up sink, kettle, microwave, 2 ring hot-plates, hot water boiler tap, loads of cooking pans, utensils, plates & bowls plus shelves of fictional & factual books, many local maps, pamphlets & guides of the area as well as board games for those wet days indoors. Used it daily, good to meet other great guests, all of whom were foreign during our stay & enjoying their visit to Scotland & The Cairngorms. Hosts are very welcoming, accommodating & knowledgeable of the area.

The location was excellent very close to the Town centre and the Cairngorms skiing facilities. We were greeted by Ken who was a friendly and fun individual. Ken explained the layout of the pod and there was even a coffee machine and complimentary basket full of goodies like biscuits, milk and coffee capsules etc. We were introduced to Ken's lovely wife later and she again showed similar qualities that immediately made you feel welcome. Her breakfasts are excellent quality and well worth the supplementary. All in all I couldn't fault the experience as it exceeded our expectations. In my experience It's rare that you get service and comfort that justifies the price of a short break. However this is one experience that made my partner and I wanting to return to enjoy the overall experience again. Which we will.

I loved how homely this felt! It was so cosy, and warm in the pod and Ken and Gill where so caring and kind! The breakfast in the mornings where delicious, Gill is a wonderful cook! And Ken really goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are comfortable, know how everything works and make sure you have a good idea of how to get here and there in Aviemore! He gave me great advice and suggestions on where to go and what to do, and omg their animals are adorable!!! I loved every minute of my stay with Ken and Gill in the pod it was so lovely I was actually sad to leave for the next part of my journey! The coffee machine inside the pod was also such a bonus! I really loved that, and the cookies that where provided too where delicious! I really did love every single thing about this place!
